Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back while another crawled around in the playground. I worked 12 hour days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, while carrying one kid. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to come together but we weren't anywhere near finished. It was going to take lots of time and money and my personal favorite brands interiors to decorate this place. For my budget to remain intact, I went with my three boys in search for bargains at estate sales. Our routine for the week was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage sales, buying old and new pieces as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. Looked a little something like the picture below... This was when my interest in restoring furniture began. Even though our home was furnished, I could not put down. There was an area on the market, where I would sell items. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide about and had outgrown the space. At home, I started hosting open houses in which more than 1000 guests could visit to purchase anything they wanted on the first floor over the course of a weekend. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. Not only was my business thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. I was trying to find that perfect balance between what it took starting a business and be a mommy too. Growing Days just fit. Nora joined us in 2013 as our 4th baby. My business was booming but I wanted a rest. I took some time away from the old furniture in order to spend some quality time with my kids. It was the right time. After a couple of months, the phone began to start to. Many people called me seeking advice about home improvement or decorating. These were mostly customers that came to my house for furniture. As I went along I began adding clients one by one. But it wasn't that long before I was managing many clients and operated a profitable home improvement business. I'm sure you would have amused me if you had said that it would be the foundation of a DIY Network tv series. Indeed, I am laughing a little when I remember the episode.
