April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her enthusiasm for songwriting. at the age of 12, April composed her first single Different. When she was 14 April spent a lot of time in writing songs and practicing her musical skills. The following months she began to take writing trips along with her father, in LA in addition to NY. She also started to write about different topics related to some of her peers who are dealing with such things as problems with peer pressure, and teenage suicide as depicted in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own fanbase and works as a lifestyle blogger with the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Her birth was without a left hand, and it's part of who she's become, but this isn't the whole truth. Lockhart isn't shy about mentioning her disability on her Instagram account However, she doesn't really make it the focus of it. What message does it convey? The message? That we have many different aspects, that our bodies and identities are not all that they seem. We don't want to allow that to determine me. I do not want to become a person who is a disability-related influencer where that's all I talk about as there are many other aspects to me Lockhart says via video from her residence in Nashville. This doesn't have any effect on my normal life. I just do everything normally and I've found my own way to adjust circumstances. But, it's an integral part of me, so I believe it's important that we talk about. Self-acceptance runs for life however Lockhart is an absolute inspiration for this aspect. She admits that she has had periods where she was uncomfortable sporting certain clothes that showed her arms. Today, she wears whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to social networks with pride. She claims that self-love is a process. It's hard to say if it will ever be over. This is a process, and I'm sure that you never make it to the end. I believe having friends around you who really know you and see your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you concerned about?
