Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 for the Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. Her first competition was in The National Junior Championships in which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In 1970, she won. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974 she won the overall junior champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals aswell being awarded a silver. She became the first female to complete a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. She began her professional career by performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skaters ice skating performed by actors.
